Building a Center of Excellence in Neurosciences

The inaugural Hands-on Cadaver Course in Wuzhishan was successfully held in November 2025. Focused on Keyhole Endoscopic Cranial Surgery, the course was directed by Professor Charlie Teo and brought together 56 local and national neurosurgeons from across China.
This landmark event took place in a newly completed five-storey teaching facility, the realization of Professor Ling Feng’s vision to establish her institute in Hainan Province as a true Center of Excellence in Neurosciences.
The state-of-the-art facility features some of the most advanced training workstations in the world. All 16 stations are fully equipped with a microscope, endoscope, and exoscope, providing participants with hands-on experience using the latest surgical technologies.
The course was widely regarded as an outstanding success, marking an important step forward in advanced neurosurgical education in the region.
