Ray C.
Mr. Ray C., a 59-year-old man, was diagnosed with a thalamic glioblastoma and told it was inoperable, with a life expectancy of just 3 to 6 months. He was then placed into palliative care and was expected to live no more than 3 to 6 months. Refusing to give up hope, he pursued further options. Nearly five years later, Ray remains tumour-free and is living life to the fullest.
Pre Op
The tumour in the left thalamus is surrounded by very sensitive structures and surgery in this location has the potential to harm the patient dramatically.

Post Op
A complete gross total resection (GTR) was achieved but not without Ray paying a price. He was left completely paralysed down the right side.

Pre OP
5 Years later.
